Privacy policy

The short version

Your book is yours. Nothing you write about a customer, a shift or a club is shown to customers, clubs or other dancers, except the two things you choose to share: flags (other dancers see what happened and a count, never your name) and club reports (shown under your stage name).

What we store

• Your account: a stage name, optional city and state, optional email and password, time zone, tax rate, when you confirmed you are 18+.
• Your book: the names you typed, phone numbers (so your line can text them), notes, tags, what they spent and when they came in.
• Texts: texts sent and received through your Hotline number, and whether they went through. The phone companies that carry them see them too, like any text.
• Flags: the flagged number, scrambled so it can't be read back out, its last four digits, what happened, your private note if you wrote one, and which account posted it.
• Shifts and club reports: what you log.
• Visits: a scrambled daily visitor code instead of your IP address, the page, where you came from, and things like "shift logged". If something breaks, we keep the page and the error.
• Payments: handled by Stripe, Apple or Google. We store the subscription status and plan, never card numbers.

Text messages

His number and your texts are used for one thing: getting your texts to him and his to you. We never sell, share or reuse phone numbers, and nobody goes on any list; a customer only ever hears from the one dancer he gave his number to. If he texts STOP, texts to him stop until he texts START. Texts stay as long as your account does and are deleted with it.

Who we share with

The companies that host Hotline (DigitalOcean), send our email (Resend), carry your line's texts, and take payments. Each only to run Hotline. We hand over data when the law makes us, and we tell you unless the law says we can't.

Your choices

You can edit or delete any customer, text, shift, flag or report in the app. You can delete your whole account from the More tab or by following these steps. Everything is erased within 24 hours, flags you posted stay up with no name on them, and our backup copies are gone within 14 days.

Age

Hotline is for adults. You must be 18 or older (21 where your state says so to work in a club). We don't knowingly keep anything about anyone under 18.
