How texting works
Hotline gives a dancer a work phone number so she can keep in touch with her regulars without giving out her real one. Texts are ordinary one-to-one conversations between her and a customer who gave her his number or texted hers first.
What gets sent
The dancer sends every text herself, from her Hotline number: replies, "I'm working Thursday night", thank-yous. How often depends on the conversation. There are no lists, no mass marketing and no automatic texts, apart from the STOP and HELP replies below.
Who gets messages
Only people who gave her their number or texted her Hotline number first, the same way a hairdresser texts a client who left her number. Nobody is added from a list, and numbers are never bought, shared or passed between dancers.
Stopping
Anyone who texts STOP to a Hotline number stops getting texts from it right away, and the dancer can't text that number again unless they text START. Text HELP for help, or email hello@hotlinedancer.com. Reply REPORT to report a message to Hotline.
Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Phone companies aren't responsible for late or missing texts. Phone numbers are never sold or shared. See the privacy policy and terms.
What a text looks like
- "Hey, it's Vee. Working tonight 9 to 2, come see me."
- "Thanks for tonight. You made my night."
- "I'm off tonight, back on Friday."
